We just want to say thanks to Fleur Studd, from Melbourne Coffee Merchants for the loan of her Pour Over Rack. We're working on a solution as we speak... We think we might be onto something here...imagine going to the races with your own portable-pour-over... or the footy... or ... parties....

This has got to be one of the best opening lines for a review,  "I once shot a Kookaburra in the face with a glove gun..." Right on!

Our identity completed by these kids... We Buy Your Kids. A huge thanks to Sonny and Biddy who managed to capture the feel of what we were after, perfectly. Loved the process and how well you guys worked.  Can't wait for you guys to drop in for a Dead Man Espresso.

Our Dead Man Espresso blend is roasted for us by Seven Seeds. We've put a little more Aricha in this batch, to give it a bit more of a sweet, fruity punch, excellent straight up, more bright than the Seven & great with milk. We are also set up now to sell Seven Seeds single origins along side- Seven Seeds Espresso & Dead Man Espresso. If you live on the south-side and don't fancy driving over to the north-side or the city to buy roasted coffee, please give us a call to see what Single Origins we have on hand. As we have just opened we will only focus on a couple of Singles each week. On the weekend there's free parking and plenty of spaces out front. So easy to drop in. 

Further down the back streets of South Melbourne, amongst the brothels, between the market and the freeway with views of the city, ....Dead Man Espresso opens!

We are open from 7am - 4pm, Monday - Saturday & 8am - 4pm on Sunday with all day breakfast & ever-changing lunch specials. 

Opening Monday 21st, September... 

One component of our own Dead Man Espresso Blend...another is the Ethiopian Aricha 4... God Damn, that's a beautiful bean... Amazing aroma, strong strawberry & sweet n' fruity, wack them all together with a few others and you have our Dead Man Espresso Blend... seasonal and different.  This blend is designed as another milk based blend, though this won't be for everyone, Mark at Seven Seeds says "it's bit Red Shoes & Green Pants for me"... wonder why I love it! 

And finally our canvas sheet has arrived.. Here it is, sort of a beige colour, with nice wrinkles and a thick texture... also drapes very nicely as well. 

Hopefully we'll be opening on Monday 21st, September... if all goes well. We're currently waiting on our bench top to be installed, which was meant to be Friday but now Tuesday, which means we can't hook up the coffee machine till that's done. So fingers crossed for a smooth week ahead... as we're all itching to get going...
