To keep the gardener happy, we had to run out and get some good coffee. "Get me some of that sweet Yirgacheffe". Okay, okay... now get back to those weeds! Tried it at 17grams, with 250ml. Then 15 grams / 250ml. The sweetness came through on both.

What really gets our goat is the poor selection of chips in the supermarkets these days.  What happened to sweet potato chips or the different flavoured cheddar chips?  It's the same flavours in each brand. Boring!  Time to start making our own...
... Rosemary from the garden and  Victorian salt - Mount Zero, Pink Lake.  Nashy this ones for you!   Oh and you must have beer to truly appreciate.

And that's it for the year. Big thanks to Clarendon St Meats for the ham, we know they were in great demand. We owe you a few coffees for sure!!

We're all very excited about 2010. Especially working closely with Seven Seeds to learn more about coffee and to set up good practices but mainly to drink more amazing coffees that Mark & Bridget are bringing into the country. Keep 'em coming!
But we are really excited about the miracle of Angus's pregnancy. If it's a boy apparently it will be named Walter Milon. No more drinking for you Angus "Yeh, so" and only one coffee a day "Noooooooooo!!!!!"

A huge thanks to Mark & Bridget for inviting us along to their Seven Seeds/BBB Xmas Party. It's such a spectacular and awesome location, at the Rooftop Bar and it was definitely a perfect drinking night, just ask Will (aka Mellissa) who was meant to be at work at 6.30am the next day but rocked up at 8.45am. Your public humiliation starts now Will. So thanks again Mark & Bridget. Looking forward to more great coffee in 2010 from Seven Seeds.

Why do butchers have the best customer service in the biz? Please tell me what industry can surpass the butchers in genuine honest friendliness? One of the best butchers we've come across happens to be around the corner from us, where we get a lot of our meats from. The quality is truly right up there. Though like all butchers they can be pretty cheeky at times. Clarendon St Meats

A MacDaddy of a design blog that we've used heaps in setting up Dead Man Espresso was noted as being one of the top 50 design blogs in the world. The Design Files . Note that the person behind this blog, Lucy Feagins also has a full-time job. We really appreciate anyone that can manage to pull this off. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep this blogs up to date. So what's really cool is when a blog you respect does an article on Dead Man Espresso. Dead Man Espresso. Right on!

Have you all seen the branding identity of Dukes Coffee Roaster Tank Studio, pretty cool I think, love the Kenya & Uganda logo. We're working on a cross between Angus & Will. A blend of an Aussie Mornington boy & Kiwi Wellington kid. It's going to be pretty extreme!!

We got a coupla cheeky bike racks hooked up now.
